Welcome Back Students and Parents!
We hope you had a relaxing summer and are ready for an exciting new year at the Wheaton Studio of Dance!
Wasn’t our big recital “Showstoppers 2007” awesome? I’m so very proud of all of our dancers, their teachers, and assistant teachers. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching the DVDs of both nights! I’d like to especially thank all the parents who volunteered to chaperone the children in the cafeteria. We couldn’t have done it without you!
We are fortunate to have our terrific teaching staff returning this year: Ms. Julia Smith, Ms. Nathalie Blanco, Ms. Jasmine Artis, Ms. Heather Looney, Ms. Rolanda Williams, and Ms. Amanda Klippel. Of course, I will be teaching again this year. We’d like to extend a special welcome to our new staff members: Ms. Amy Mohler, Ms. Sylva Faul and Ms. Katrina King. Our friendly and efficient office managers will also be returning this year: Ms. Inge Klippel and Ms. Bev Wilson.
We’re very proud of Ms. Joni. She is dancing professionally again this year with the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies in Palm Springs, California. The new show is titled “Tin Pan Alley!”
The recitals weren’t the end of our year at the Wheaton Studio of Dance! We had six wonderful weeks of summer classes and a fantastic fun-filled week of Dance Camp at Mount Saint Mary’s University! Our students marched and performed again this year in the Annual Kensington Labor Day Parade. We expect to perform at other venues in the fall.
Check out our new website! Ms. Amy Mohler is our wonderful new webmaster. We hope you’ll enjoy the new format. We will post our newsletters there for your convenience. We will continue to distribute copies to the students in their classes also.
Just a reminder of our policies:
2. Returned Check Fee--$30 per check
3. We accept personal checks and cash—no credit cards or postdated checks. Make checks payable to “Wheaton Studio of Dance.”
4. There are no refunds for missed classes. Missed classes may be made up in another class of the same level.
5. No gum, food, smoking, or drink is permitted in the studio—only water in a closed covered plastic container is allowed.
6. Arrive 5 to 10 min. prior to class. If leaving the premises, please return 10 min. prior to the end of class.
7. SNOW POLICY ONLY: We follow the Montgomery Co. Public Schools (MCPS) closings. (If in doubt, call the studio.)
8. Please pay the receptionist $5 for every 15 min. you are late picking up your child after the official closing time.
